2015 ATK Recruit Previews: Round One

We’re just one week away from Signing Day! Over the next few days we’ll take a look at currently committed potential impact recruits that could be lining up for the Aggies and Sun Devils on September 5th:

Arizona State – David Durant, OLB – Butler CC: The Sun Devils return all of their starters at LB, however Durant is athletic and experienced enough to become an instant difference maker for the Sun Devil defense. The 6 foot 2, 240 four star recruit was the number one Juco OLB on a number of recruiting sites and is likely just scratching the surface of his potential given his athleticism. The Sun Devils will need all the athletes on the field they can get against Coach Sumlin’s high powered offense, allowing Durant to potentially jump right into the rotation on September 5th.

Texas A&M – Jordan Davis – TE – Clear Lake HS: Davis, a 6’5″ TE hailing from nearby Clear Lake, committed to the Aggies early on in the process in 2013 and enrolled this January. With the graduation of mammoth 6 foot 6, 274 pound TE Cameron Clear, A&M will have a hole to fill in that offense that Davis may be able to jump right into. The receiving TE hasn’t been a huge part of the quick strike Sumlin offense, but Davis, who weighed in at 257 pounds and should be able to add more since he’s already on campus, should emerge immediate as an effective blocker and a physical target for quarterback Kyle Allen.
