2015 ATK Recruit Previews: Round Two

We’re just one week away from Signing Day! Over the next few days we’ll take a look at currently committed potential impact recruits that could be lining up for the Aggies and Sun Devils on September 5th:

ROUND 1: David Durant, OLB – ASU; Jordan Davis, TE, A&M

Texas A&M – Christian Kirk, WR – Saguaro HS (AZ): This one might sting a little bit for Sun Devil fans given Kirk’s proximity to Tempe, however the 5’11” 197 pound speedster could break into the rotation right away given the amount of wideouts Coach Sumlin likes to rotate through. Kirk fits in well in the slot given his size and quickness, and may be able to make an immediate impact as a return man as well. He tallied touchdowns from all over the field in high school, scoring from receiver, quarterback, runningback, return man and defensive back. The freshman is already enrolled at A&M and will be able to spend the spring catching balls from a fellow Arizonan Kyle Allen, the Aggies’ likely starter at QB.

Arizona State – Morie Evans – ATH – Huntsville HS (TX): Much like the Aggies took Kirk out of Arizona State’s backyard, Evans hails from nearby Huntsville, just an hour away from Kyle Field. Ranked as the number 58 player in Texas on ESPN, the four star athlete can do just about everything. However Evans figures to continue the Sun Devils tradition of great RB’s and will likely join the rotation of sophomores Demario Richard and Kalen Ballage, while star senior RB DJ Foster figures to see more time in the slot. Evans, who averaged over 9 yards a carry and added 12 touchdowns his senior year, will likely be out to impress a hometown crowd at NRG Stadium on September 5th.
